Here is a mishmash of our October/November pics.

Austin and Alaina's band performance.  They did an awesome job.

Laina letting me play with her hair.

Emmett goes to joy school with about 5 other kids.  Most the kids live in normal homes, but one child lives in this crazy uber-rich area.  There are two gated entrances.  One for residence and visitors and the other for all 'the help.'  Construction, maids, nannies, etc.  That's the entrance I accidentally went in first.  The gate looks like a stone cottage and an armed guard comes out to take your license.  You have to be on a list to go in or you don't get in.  The homes are all crazy massive and my friend's home is no different.  We walked up the long, beautiful walkway and when Emmett saw the door, he refused to come any closer.  I admit, it is the largest door I've ever seen, not on a castle.  The whole thing was too overwhelming for him and he started walking back to the care saying, "It's too big!  It's too big!!!"  Finally I got him back to where his is standing in the picture.  He refused to come closer, until our friends opened the door and he recognized him.  It was pretty funny.

Goose.

Ethan ready for his orchestra concert.

Alaina ordered her food while I was busy in the bathroom with the little boys.  She mistakenly believed that 'baby back ribs' was really tiny ribs.  It's not.

A Fall walk.

Because I may actually be verifiably crazy, I decided to not only do my fancy Halloween meal...but I decided to invite two families to come and eat with us.  The cooking is stressful, but never as stressful as getting the house clean at the same time as doing the cooking.  That is what usually puts me over the edge of insanity.

In the end, all was well and very spooky.  The dinner looked disturbing enough to bother people but tasty enough to get them past the looks.  We had spaghetti and meatballs, bread sticks, jello, fruit and dry-iced cream drink.  Yum.

Ethan wrote up the menu which was pretty gross.  Perfect.

The only real disaster of the night came when I forgot to take a big group picture of everyone.  Why???  We had so much fun chatting it up with the Nelson and Peterson family that I'm still kicking myself for not taking a picture of the group.  Ah well.  Guess I better just invite them back next year.

Halloween night finally came and we got everyone ready...again.

Alaina rocked her gypsy look and I took a million pictures of her.  It's not that she's my favorite.  I mean, she is my favorite daughter, but depending on the day, any one of my kids could take the title. However...she is the only one who will pose for me.  She's so fun to take pictures of.  I can ask her to do anything and she's always game.  Always patient.  This day, she just might have been my favorite, after all.

Photo shoot over, I got just one good picture of my Joker.  That make-up job went rather quickly too, but as soon as I finished, he was anxious to get out the door and join his friends.  Doesn't he look frightening?

Austin was a futuristic-cop.  I'm putting my money on his outfit being pretty accurate for 2050.   Jeans.  check.  Ball cap.  Check.  Glow in the dark gun.  Double check.

Ah Emmett.  He loved posing with his two pumpkins that he picked out.

And this sweetness.  It's hard to get a real, non-worried look from my Jason-boy, but when you do...perfection.

Ready to rock and roll.

After Halloween, I was pretty sure that sugar was running freely through the kids' bloodstream.  You just can't take a kid off of his drug of choice cold turkey without some major repercussions.  So, I was  stuck with trying to wean them off slowly.  Here is the little boys' hot cereal the next day.  Doesn't that look awful?

Emmett was pretty pleased with it.

I love the church trunk or treat.  I don't love getting everyone ready for Halloween twice.  Yet, we do it every.  single.  year.  This year I got smart.  I told the kids to scrounge up their own costumes for the trunk or treat.  Lana reused last year's cape.

Austin made his own.  He stabbed a cereal box and was a cereal killer.  Nice.

Emmett got last year's costume.  Still super cute.

Jason and I also reused last year's costumes.  I was going to go in my big boob costume but didn't think the members of our ward knew me well enough yet.  :)

As we were loading the chili into the car, Ethan decided he wanted to get dressed.  In 3 min I did his makeup for mega-mind.  Not too shabby for a throw-together costume.

These little posers.  (emmett grabbed Alaina's vending machine outfit to go on top of his batman.  A batman candy machine.  Everyone who is anyone is doing this combo.

Sweetie.

Fall fun.

We made some sugar cookies.  Emmett had a fever and was too sad to even decorate anything.  Poor thing.  Jason was more than happy to help out.

Pumpkin carving.

This little fun tradition gets pretty intense, pretty quickly.  Every year the ideas get a little more elaborate and detailed.  Well, not for me.  My pumpkin was done in about 10 min.  I'm speedy.

It helps that I just made a bunch of bars for my mini pumpkin.

So intense.

Final Product.

Love these little boys.
