About a week after the funeral, we had to say goodby to Moco. Mom and Dad were planning on putting Moco down after Christmas. Moco was so old and couldn't control himself in the house anymore. He had terrible arthritis, but it was still very hard to say goodbye to that crazy dog.
Here are the boys saying their last goodbyes.
And here the cousins are seeing Moco off.
We all had a million insane Moco stories, but he was a good dog. Dad always took such good care of Moco and loved having him around. It was hard to say goodbye to that crazy dog so soon after loosing Dad.
In February, Mom came with me as I returned back to my life in Georgia. It was nice to have her here for awhile, and especially good for Robert, Ethan and Austin who weren't able to go to the funeral because they had caught Covid just a week before.
We took a day and went to visit with my cousins, Jeri and Dave Goepel and Kathleen Snow. We met up at Cracker Barrel, the 'in' place to eat in the South.
On Feb. 9th we all celebrated Dad's birthday. He even got a cake. :)
We made sure we topped it off with plenty of ice-cream, just the way Dad would have preferred.
