Rob's Birthday

Happy 48th!

For Rob's birthday, the boys prepared him all of their favorite food.  You might think that this was a little backwards...a fact that I tried to impress upon them as they planned.  Unfortunately, they would not be deterred.  Rob's Birthday dinner proved to be quite, interesting.

Peeled, oranges, apples, slices of cheese and gold fish.  Lemon jello, rice and Costco's orange chicken (a new favorite ever since Mom & Dad Jones introduced this to the boys in California.)  Oh.  And juice.  Jason made the jello and Emmett made the pudding, and they both proudly served their Dad the meal.

Then we had carrot cake with cheese cream topping.  Now, this was actually a favorite choice from the Birthday boy himself.  There are very few people left on this good green earth that, when offered a cake of any flavor, will immediately, and without irony, demand carrot cake.  Robert, however, has opinions, and is not shy about announcing them.   It was carrot cake he desired, and carrot cake he got.

And...it was pretty tasty, if I say so, myself.
