The National Cathedral
To finish off our 4th of July extravaganza, we went through the National Cathedral. This cathedral actually took over 83 years to build because work on it was interrupted by both World Wars. It is really a beautiful building.
In an alcove, right when you walk in, they have an entire room dedicated to rebuilding a replica of the cathedral - in Legos. It's so silly and cool at the same time.
Look at the insane detail.
Now, on to the real thing.
Each window is commissioned and created by a different person. One of the windows is called, The Space Window. It contains a moon rock brought back by Apollo 11 in 1969.
Teddy Roosevelt has his own chair. :)
