So, I am officially one year behind in my blogging.  Wow.  This might be the absolutely worst job I have done since I started this bugger.  Well, no better time than the present to try and catch up.  I must warn my one single reader (Mom...that's you!)  I'm going to just shoot these posts out as fast as I can get myself to do it.  No frills or cute stories.  Just a BUCKET load of pictures!!!  Okay.  I'm just trying to prepare myself for the job...

New Year's Day!

We started the day off with a little dance party...

And then drove off to spend a few hours climbing in Martinsburg.

It was a great way to start of the New Year!

Out with 2023 and in with 2024

We were able to send Robert to Coeur d'Alene to join up with Ron and the rest of his family to celebrate the new year.  It was fun to get those Jones siblings all together and for them to be able to spend the holiday with Mom and Dad.

While Robert partied it up with the Joneses, I hung out with the kids at home.

We know how to party ourselves.  Lots of Martinellie's.  Lots of working on my puzzle.  Music.

We were one wild and crazy bunch.  Even the little boys stayed up for the ball dropping.

Emmett and Rob

Emmett was born with the most innate enthusiasm and zest for life!

Emmett also managed to attach himself to Alaina for her entire visit.  Whatever she was doing, where ever she was, he took her over.

Exhibit A

Alaina and Jason were playing a game with me.  Emmett was reading, but saw his opening.  He squished onto Alaina's lap to be close as she played.

Apparently, being close wasn't enough.  He squished in farther.

Jason, seeing all the attention Emmett was getting, decided he needed to be in on the 'Alaina time' and Emmett, unhappy with the intrusion, decided he needed to smother her from her shoulders.  Poor Alaina.  She couldn't even get through one game without being smashed.

This would have been cute if it wasn't all-the-time!
