Day 5

We made the sunrise this time.  And it was worth it!

It was a gusty morning, so we went and got the boys to fly their kites a little more.

Since it was so windy, so we decide it would be a good time to find a good crabbing place, and we were told to go out by the bridge at the end of the island.  When we got there the clouds had started to clear up a little, even though the wind kept up.  So, we found this cool pier and we spend a lazy afternoon just hanging out and fishing.

Jason caught the first fish.

Our big catches were an eel and a crab.

I loved this lazy afternoon.  We listened to music, and just relaxed on the side of the pier.  I even caught a mini fish.

Rob got one too.  As you can see...we are pretty much experts.

On our way home we found a crazy big, extremely over-priced, candy store.

By the time we got home, the boys were so excited to make me my birthday dinner from their awesome catches.  (we had stopped by a fish store where we bought a couple full-sized fish)  However, Jason made Robert cut up the eel for the dinner.  So, that was a crazy experience.  I'll spare you the details.  But Robert was a great dad and he prepared that eel, but by the time he was done, there were just a couple of bites available.  And when Emmett helped cook the crab, there were just a few, tiny bites of crab.  Both the boys put their own spin of the flavoring.

Here are the boys, offering me their tiny bites of eel and crab for my birthday dinner.  It was pretty awesome.

After dinner we decided we hadn't had enough of the fishing, so we packed up the bikes, (Robert got on this hilarious tricycle.  He was so happy riding it around.)
