The Outer Banks - September 2025

Day 2

The little beach cottage that we rented was about a ten minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute walk to the sound.  It had bikes that the boys could ride around on, and only one main road to cross.  It was easy enough that we could walk back and forth if we wanted to, so we didn't have to carry a whole days worth of things around with us.

Our first day at the beach was actually quite lovely, despite it looking like it was going to storm half the day.  It was warm enough for the boys to go boogey boarding (though, not warm enough for Rob :)  And the stormy clouds made for some pretty striking pictures.
