We found this cool rest stop in South Dakota. It was so cool. And so very large, in the middle of nowhere.
This is a marker in South Dakota that marked a place in the path that Lewis and Clark took.
The marker looks over this view, which I can only imagine Lewis and Clark looked over as they travelled across America.
As we drove and drove and drove, we saw fields and farmland as far as the eye could see. It makes you realize just how large America really is.
As the sun began to set, we couldn't find any hint of a gas station or store, and things were getting desperate in our car. Finally, we pulled over to enjoy the sunset.
